Who we are
The Centre Goéland, located in Cap-Egmont, Prince Edward Island, has just undergone a major makeover. This attractive new building, which replaces the former centre that was built in 1975, will better meet the needs of our varied clientele. The book Jonathan Livingston Seagull by renowned author Richard Bach actually inspired the founders of the activities centre to name their structure “Le Centre Goéland” (or in English, “The Seagull Centre”). The book, published in 1970, stayed on the bestsellers list of that year for several weeks. It tells the story of a seagull that wasn’t like the other ones; this one was always seeking to fly higher and faster than his friends since he found the life of seagulls to be quite boring. It is in this spirit of renewal that the Centre Goéland offers you a stay in Cap-Egmont. Join us so that you can again find professional and personal equilibrium.
The Centre Goéland is situated in the Evangeline region, a rural Acadian community of Prince Edward Island and offers a fully bilingual service. When you reserve a stay at the Centre Goéland, you have the option of taking advantage of our catering service or of renting the facilities only. The new Centre Goéland has opened its doors since early August 2007. Don’t hesitate to contact us at (902) 854-2546 to learn more about our services, to make arrangements to visit our facilities or to make a reservation.
